Last Tuesday, Facebook , the number one social media site, rolled out it's new highlight - a new video about your life. This is still part of Facebook's 10th year founding anniversary.  The video has 62-second clip which includes the year you joined Facebook, your most-liked posts, status, photos and some random selection of your photos with a "look back" instrumental music.

Facebook  was founded by Mark Zuckerberg and other four classmates at Harvard University on February 4, 2004.

Khalil Shreateh, a Palestinian IT Graduate and a white hacker reported to Facebook on the discovered vulnerability that the Social Media site is having - allowed an attacker to post anything on anyone's wall eventhough the attacker is not in your friends' list. But Facebook's security team didn't do something about the issue thus, Khalil posted a demo to Facebook's Founder and CEO, Mark Zuckerberg's Wall (see below image)

This White hacker Khalil explained everything in his blog post which he submitted a full definition and description of the bug but when he submitted it, he got an email , "I am sorry this is not a bug." He even made a follow-up proof to the Facebook Security Feedback Page in which researchers can win rewards of at least $500 for finding significant vulnerabilities.

But due to the desperate move of Khalil, his official account was disabled by Facebook. Reason? Demonstrating or publishing the vulnerability constitutes a violation of Facebook's terms of service. And worst, he won't be paid under Facebook's bug campaign.

Correct, with its 500 million users around the world, Facebook, the number one and ultimate social site ever created, marked half a billion of users. If Facebook is a country, it will be the third largest country next to China and India.

Even my sister, who is not into technology and stuffs, when she rushed to an internet cafe, she then clicked Mozilla Firefox and typed in www.facebook.com in the URL address. So funny that my neighbors aging from nine years old to twelve, definitely knows how to browse facebook features and of course, its online games.

Users share more than thoughts, tagging friends with their created or designed stuffs, discussing on some important matters in their email and commonly, chatting in each friend's wall or status. In this way, Facebook is shaping the future of online communication. Take note, President Barack Obama won the Presidential race not just with the offline campaigns but he was credited with creation of his account and fan page in Facebook during his 2008 campaign. The same happen to our very own P-Noy or President Noynoy in the Philippines.

Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook's CEO, said, "People have really gotten connected, not only sharing more information and different kinds but being more open and with more people. and that social norm is just something that's changed over time."

In this success, I just hope Facebook will mold its site into a better and friendlier platform and please focus on pornography filtering!

Today, our beloved social networking site is celebrating its 6 years in free service of connection to friends, email, picture/video sharing and for bloggers, its micro-blogging status. Mark Zuckerberg, the creator of Facebook.com, became the youngest billionaire just simply because of the site. Interestingly, the number one social networking site surpassing Friendster and other sites shows no slowdown in terms of traffic and website visits and user's registration.

For everyone's knowledge, facebook is booming with a 400 million members which made them the only website garnering or gaining such number of users online. If Google gained its verb "google, to google, googling" then i bet Facebook will soon receive its own function as it follows google as 2nd most visited site in the net.
