Affordable Air Fare and Promo Fares

It seems E-book reading device is the market target of some IT (software and hardware) related companies nowadays. As Amazon recently announced its Kindle to be available in Australia, Barnes and Noble unveiled its device on Tuesday called Nook which is a challenge to Amazon's Kindle.

Nook is powered by Google's android software and has a black and white electronic ink display feature which is mainly for reading books and small color touchpad for navigation, storing books or making purchases online. The nice thing is, Nookers (Nook Users) will be given a privilege to lend other e-books to other users for free but up to 14 days only. These specified users must be utilizing the Apple iPhone, the iPod touch and certain BlackBerry and Motorola smartphones.



Aside from Nook, Plastic Logic, a Mountain View, California-based company, said on Monday that they will be introducing an e-reader for business professionals called the "QUE" at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in January. They will then give users the pricing of the said device and its final availability



In addition to this specified market, A US Company named Fremont, California-based Spring Design Inc. also said on Monday that they will soon be releasing a dual-screen e-reader initially known as "Alex" which is at the same time powered by Android.

The first challenger, Nook costs the same price with Amazon Kindle with 259 US dollars. As reported, this device will be available this coming November end.

Will these devices bring down Amazon Kindle and steal its market share?

After two years of waiting, Amazon Kindle will be available in Australia next week. This was confirmed by Amazon Kindle vice-president Steve Kessel. With the help of AT&T, the world's top phone service provider, in providing internet access outside the US, Kindle users can now browse the Kindle website with no cost of book downloading.

As Mr Kessel said, its more than 200,000 books available for download from the Kindle online store for free. And for magazines and newspapers, Mr Kessel proudly presented that they will soon include Australian published books in the online store because of their tandem and connections to over 100,000 publishers.



Kindle gadget comes in two version, first is the Kindle 2.0 and the Kindle DX. Both come from Amazon, the number one provider of ebooks and online reading materials.

While I am still in the stage of dreaming to have Kindle 2.0, now, Amazon has introduced its Kindle DX, a bigger and wider version of Kindle 2.0



Kindle DX is very slim with its 1/3 of an inch. It looks similarly like the 6 inch version which is priced $359. The gadget has its new feature, it has the capability of rotating between protrait and landscape mode automatically based on how user hold the device (i believe one apple gadget has also this ability too :) ) So much for that, Kindle DX has a long battery life and the device is worth $489 and if you will purchase now, Amazon can ship it freely.

Now, if MacBook Air is the world thinnest laptop, then Kindle DX is the thinnest Wireless reading device on Earth.
