Battle of Search Engines Continues
Does Bing surpasses Google? Coz it does with Yahoo!
Many reviews flash the net world which started on the launching day of Bing, Microsoft's revised search engine site, until this day. Some says Google still remain on top and some, Bing works the best.
But for my point of view both have the same features in the some way that the only difference is their respective presentation of the site.
Let set for example, the search for images. In Google, images are displayed in an ordered manner with label and source site below them while in Bing, images also are displayed well with no labels on them, but if you try to mouse over those images, you will see then the snapshot of these images with the file name, source site and others.

filtering or sorting the display according to size, layout, color, style and people. And so with Google images, you can let Google shows those images you want "by type or size" or "by type and size" and with their corresponding colors.

Other thing is, the Homepage display of each of these sites. In Bing, they usually changing the background image and obviously, promoting some area or location in the US. While in Google, as we used to it, they do some art with their name in the homepage that corresponds to the celebration or any significant event on that specific day.

These observation are just few of the many reviews we can encounter in the web. And for sure, as a customer or user, we need to know what this specific site offers indifferently from its competitor, we need to know what are its new features that the other site doesn't have and most importantly, we need the data more accurately and sharp.
To view some of Bing and Google's trademark, let us see these reality.
With Google, bloggers are happy not just because their blogsites have the big possibility to be included in Google's SRP but because they earn from it with the help of Google. But the point is, Google is blogger friendly, they usually display sites from different blogs on which Bing doesn't even know about it.

To Kumo or To Bing?
Microsoft alleged new search engine codename: Kumo was forgotten and put to trash as the company is now considering its new name BING. And the shaking news is that Microsoft is working to have a massive Ad campaign.
According to AdvertisingAge, Bing will cost for about $80-$100 million not just online, but this includes advertisement and promotions on TV, print and radios. It cannot be denied that this move will be compared to Google's advertising launching budget of $25 million only last year. Will this big amount pushed by Microsoft can do a big change in internet search market?
I always remember when i ask my boss or classmate with a certain topic, they would preferably replied, "Google it!" . Can Bing change this users view of internet search? Can Bing beat Google's new tools and search options? Can Bing surpass Yahoo's new features of searching online? Can Bin even ask ASK.com?
Codename: Kumo
After Google's announcement of their newest tools in search arena, here comes Microsoft's leaked images on their latest formed search site with codename: Kumo
What comes in my mind once i read and heard this news was that, are they replacing the Live Search or just Renaming or rebranding the search site?
Well, so much for that, Kumo was already opened and has ongoing testing which started last months ago in Microsoft's internal employees only. And now, there is a buzz that Microsoft will launch Kumo earlier next week.
Just one question, can this move change last April's report on comScore of the search market share of Google, microsoft and Yahoo? After Microsoft topped 8.2 share only? Well, good luck for Kumo or live search.

Google introduces new tools
Google, the number one search engine site has introduced new tools in searching and querying market during their second Searchology event held at Google's headquarters in Mountain View, California.
Google's Search Options
As what Google define, Search Options is a collection of tools that let you slice and dice your results and generate different views to find what you need faster and easier.
For example, if you are searching for a certain product review in forums but you want the discussion already took place at the past, then Search Options helps a lot. With it, you can search the product's name, apply the option to filter out anything but forum sites and then apply an option to only see results from the past days. For this lot of options, user can now do and search information in their own choose of output.
Rich Snippet
With Google's Rich Snippet, instead of viewing traditional search output in texts, it will extract and show more useful information from web pages.

For example, if you are searching for reviews on a certain product or hotel or restaurant, rich snippets can include average review score, price range and other helpful informations.

Unlike any other traditional search engines, Google Squared shows output of search in terms of information, properties about the search query from different sites and presents it in organized and tabulated manner.

For example, if you key in small dogs, Google will return types of small dogs, with it are facts and information like their weight, Height and other helpful column.
This tool will be available later this month at google labs.
Google SkyMap
Another one pride of Google team is their SkyMap for Android. Google Sky Map turned your Android-powered mobile phone into a dynamic window on the night sky.
For example, when you point your phone at the sky, you will witness constellations, planets and any other parts of the heavenly bodies, if you want to know the name of a certain star, then Sky Map do help a lot!
