Facebook  was founded by Mark Zuckerberg and other four classmates at Harvard University on February 4, 2004.

First of all, Happy New Year to everybody and guess what? Facebook, the number one Social Media site, is back with it's infamous The Number Game or is it only in Philippines region? As far as we recall, this started last 2010 (December 8) which reached 1,000 users in less than 20 hours and now, Filipinos brought the Meme back just in time for the New Year.

But is it annoying or interesting? For some, they call this meme "stupid". But others said, "it's interesting" and in such way, they can give some interesting and cute messages to that dedicated Facebook user. So what are the rules? Simple!

1. Put a status that you are UP for Number Game and ask them a unique number or pick a number from 1-2000 (depends on your preference) and let them PM you their number

2. Once you get their Number, start posting in your wall with format, Pound sign (#) + their number + random facts about that user. Example, #0302 You are beautiful inside and out.

Yesterday, Number one Social Media Site, Facebook launched once again it's new feature, "Facebook Year In Review" which allows it's users to see a personalized timeline of their top 20 or 20 biggest moments on Facebook this year 2013. This review includes top posts (Statuses, photos, friends' tagged posts) and life events in which gathered a number of LIKES and COMMENTS from friends or friends of friends.

Hector Hernandez, a High school student pawned his parent's jewelry worth $100,000 in just $1,500 to pay Blackmailers who allegedly hacked his computer at home and took a video of him in an 'embarrassing' situation. The said Hackers who reportedly situated in the Philippines, threatened this 17-year old student of Detroit, Michigan to leak the said video to his family, friends and his school if he won't send the said amount.

Khalil Shreateh, a Palestinian IT Graduate and a white hacker reported to Facebook on the discovered vulnerability that the Social Media site is having - allowed an attacker to post anything on anyone's wall eventhough the attacker is not in your friends' list. But Facebook's security team didn't do something about the issue thus, Khalil posted a demo to Facebook's Founder and CEO, Mark Zuckerberg's Wall (see below image)

This White hacker Khalil explained everything in his blog post which he submitted a full definition and description of the bug but when he submitted it, he got an email , "I am sorry this is not a bug." He even made a follow-up proof to the Facebook Security Feedback Page in which researchers can win rewards of at least $500 for finding significant vulnerabilities.

But due to the desperate move of Khalil, his official account was disabled by Facebook. Reason? Demonstrating or publishing the vulnerability constitutes a violation of Facebook's terms of service. And worst, he won't be paid under Facebook's bug campaign.

Yes, Facebook's product manager Tom Stocky confirmed on Monday on his post that World's Number One Social Media Site, Facebook, will acquire Mobile Technologies, a company which is behind speech recognition and machine translation technologies.

Similar to other services like Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr, or Pinterest, hashtags on Facebook allow you to add context to a post or indicate that it is part of a larger discussion. When you click on a hashtag in Facebook, you'll see a feed of what other people and Pages are saying about that event or topic.



Now you can:

• Search for a specific hashtag from your search bar. For example, #NBAFinals.
• Click on hashtags that originate on other services, such as Instagram.
• Compose posts directly from the hashtag feed and search results.

As always, you control the audience for your posts, including those with hashtags.

On the coming weeks, more features will be rolled out just like trending hashtags and deeper insights, that help people discover more of the world's conversations.

After a successful deployment of its version for Android, the famous free photo sharing application, Instagram steal the online scene again as they allow acquisition to Facebook just today. Kevin Systrom, CEO of Instagram cleared out that the company will remain the same so with the application, its features and services. Setting out their goal to change and improve the way the world communicates and shares, Instagram accept the 1 billion money from Facebook in cash and as Facebook stock.

"It’s important to be clear that Instagram is not going away. We’l be working with Facebook to evolve Instagram and build the network. We’ll continue to add new features to the product and find new ways to create a better mobile photos experience." Kevin noted in his Blog Post.

Instagram, a free photo sharing application that allows netizens to take photo, apply a digital filter and share it on a variety of social networking services or sites including Instagram's website, has recently launched its Android deployment last April 3 with its version 1.0.1. According to Google Play, Instagram for Android was a big hit with more than 1 million downloads before 24 hours on time the application went live.
