As announced last November 10 at Mountain View, California, Google Inc will provide free Wi-Fi service to almost 47 airports in United States as their holiday gift through January 15, 2010. This move is part of their early gift sharing to the people especially this upcoming Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Holiday, which are one of the heaviest travel seasons of the year.


"We're very happy to extend our Holiday Wi-Fi gift to the millions of people who will spend time in airports over the next few months," said Marissa Mayer, Vice President of Search Products and User Experience at Google. "We know that this is a very hectic travel season for people, and we hope that free Wi-Fi will make both traveling and connecting with friends and family a little bit easier."

Moreover, users who are accessing the free Wi-Fi service can donate any amount to the three Google's specified charities and their donations will be matched by Google. And the airport network that generates the highest amount per passenger by January 1, 2010 will receive $15,000 to donate to the local nonprofit of their choice.

Inline to this action, users or people can also win cool prizes from Google by just submitting a photo of them using the Wi-Fi in any participating airport and the winning piece will be featured in www.freeholidaywifi.com [Google's official site for this promo]

Today, we are given these packages named Mobile Phone Charger from PLDT/SMART. This is for a raffle, and fortunately, i got one of them.
