How To: Facebook Chat with Friend’s Picture or thumbnail
Honestly, I am a super fan of Facebook due to its features ,
from messaging, security and of course it’s chat! And just recently, Facebook Chat went way better than yesterday when developers embedded our Facebook friends’ profile picture or thumbnail in our very own chat. Yes, we can
actually put a thumbnail of our friends’ profile picture during a chat session.
Here’s how:
- Initiate a Chat to a friend.
- During your chat session, when you want to show a thumbnail of a certain friend, just get your friend’s profile id or name (example, my facebook URL is www.facebook.com/bugits , so take the word bugits – this is the Profile ID)
- Now copy the profile id or name and paste it inside double brackets. Example is [[bugits]]
- You can now see your friend’s profile picture’s thumnail in chat. This can also be applied to Facebook Pages.

Improved Facebook Chat
1. Chat box was designed to include sidebar that lists the people you message most. This sidebar adjusts with the size of your browser window and will automatically appears when the window is wide enough.
2. Group Chat or Muti-Person Chat. Simple, just select ADD FRIENDS to chat.
3. Chat history. Just like any other Chatting program. Facebook team was able to save its History in messages.
Facebook Video Call
Video Calling in Facebook was built in the Chat system. That means, if you wanted to call your friend, just click the video call button at the top of your chat window. In the next few weeks, this feature is available over 70 different languages but you can also get it NOW.
Soon, hope to have a Group Video Calling in this feature.
